For 30 thousand Euros, a young woman is willing to rent out her body for nine months and to carry the baby of an infertile couple, as reported by PRO TV Romania. More and more young women in this country have found a market for their bodies, as the law in Romania does not explicitly forbid it.
There are no guarantees, in this situation, that the surogate mother would not change her mind and decide to keep the baby for herself.
While doctors agree that surogate mothers can be the solution for infertile couples, a grey market is developing: 1500 euros per month of pregnancy or breastfeeding is the average “rent” that is being charged for a woman’s body.
